How to Create Consistent Characters in Viddeos AI
In this tutorial, you’ll learn how to create custom characters in Videos AI and use them to maintain consistent characters across your videos.
Step 1: Access the Characters Tab
- Log into your Viddeos AI account.
- On the left-hand side menu, click on “Characters.”
Step 2: Create a New Character
- Click the “Create Character” button.
- You’ll be taken to a character creation page where you can fill out the following details:
Step 3: Enter Character Details
For this example, we'll create an animated/cartoon character named Finn.
- Name: Finn
- Description: Paste a written description of your character’s appearance (you can prepare this ahead of time).
- Age: 15
- Gender: Male
- Ethnicity: Caucasian
Step 4: Add a Reference Image
- Upload an image file from your device to help the AI better understand the visual style you're aiming for.
- If you’d like to cast yourself or someone else into the video, you can upload up to four clear face images as references. This helps the system match facial structure and expression more accurately, turning the character into a stylized version of the person in the images.
- Once uploaded, the reference image(s) will appear in the preview area.
Step 5: Generate an AI Character Image
If you prefer not to upload an image:
- Click on “Generate AI Image.”
- Choose a style preset (e.g., Disney Character).
- Click “Generate.”
- Once you're happy with the result, click “Create Character.”
Important Note:
- You can create and save unlimited characters, but you can only cast up to 4 characters per video.
Using Your Character in a Video
Step 6: Create a New Video
- Go back to the Dashboard.
- Start a new video by selecting “Create from Script.”
- Paste your prepared script and click “Submit.”
Step 7: Assign Characters
- On the customization screen, locate the “Characters” option.
- Click to open it and select Finn (or any character you’ve created).
- You can select up to 4 characters per video.
- For this demo, we’ll use just Finn.
- Click “Confirm.”
Step 8: Finalize and Generate Video
- Review your video settings.
- When everything looks good, click “Generate.”
- After a few minutes, your video will be ready.
Step 9: Preview Your Video
- Check the slides (e.g., slides 2 and 3) to see how Finn appears consistently throughout.
That’s it! You’ve successfully created and used a custom character in Viddeos AI.
